Through the winter we are laying on a feast in the old sense of the word. One menu, cooked slowly over oak, carried to the table course by course while the candles burn down. Southern cooking for an English winter: smoke and spice, dark sauces and slow meat, the kind of food that was always meant for short days and long evenings.
Take the Short Feast, or give the night over entirely for the Long Feast. The table eats together, as it should in winter.
In collaboration with our friends at Folc and the Cotswolds Distillery.
From the 20th of November until the thaw.
The fire is lit. The table is laid.
