Eastwood Farm

You’ll find us tucked away on Eastwood Farm, a 200-acre farm on the edge of the Cotswolds, somewhere between Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s not exactly on the high street, and that’s kind of the point. We’re here for the escape: big skies, rolling hills, and the kind of place where you lose track of time over a pint or three. The Court family have been farming this land since 1958, and we’re proud to be part of the next chapter - pouring beers, cooking with their meat, and creating a space for friends, family, and the randoms you’ll inevitably end up chatting to on a deckchair.

We’re based just outside the villages of Shenington and Alkerton, a stone’s throw from Tysoe, Epwell, and the rest of the North Oxfordshire crew. You’ll find us at Eastwood Farm (OX15 6HQ), properly in the countryside, but only a short drive from Banbury, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, and the rest of the Cotswolds.

There’s plenty to make a day of it round here. We’re just down the road from Upton House & Gardens (National Trust), a short hop from the British Motor Museum in Gaydon as well as being surrounded by beautiful walking and cycling routes. Whether you’re making a pitstop or planning to settle in for the afternoon, you’re in good company. Pints, plates, and proper countryside views await.

Please remember that Ember is based on a working farm. We kindly ask all visitors to respect the property and stick to the bar area, deck, or the field opposite. This helps us keep the farm running smoothly and ensures everyone can enjoy their visit safely.

FAQ’s

  • Yes, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome. Just keep them on a lead at all times, as we’re on a working farm and you might get the odd goat, sheep, or curious chicken wandering over to say hello.

  • Kids are more than welcome until 19:30! However, do keep in mind we are on a working farm and we are a taproom, so it’s always good to keep an eye on the little ones!

  • Nope, we are walk-in only at the moment! However, we’re not a huge place, so if you’re planning to settle in for a while, it’s best to get here early to nab a good spot. While the weather’s playing nice, we’ve got plenty of space out on the deck as well. And when it turns? Let’s just say we’ve got something cosy lined up for winter to keep you warm, dry, and well watered.

  • Unless the sky is falling, we’re open. We’ve got a cosy indoor space and plenty of food and drinks to distract you from the British weather.

  • Last orders are at 20:30, but we serve until we sell out, so it might be earlier. We keep it fresh, local, and limited, so if you're hungry, get in early.

  • Absolutely. Everything in the fridge is available to take away. Just grab what you fancy and we’ll sort you out.

  • No outside food or drink, please. We’ve got more than enough good stuff here to keep you fed and watered. If you want to sit out on the grass, then we have some picnic blankets in the bar for you to use.

  • We do, depending on the date and size. Birthdays, BBQs, bands, get in touch and we’ll see what we can make happen.
